Put it on your phone
No app to download. Add the site to your home screen once and it's right there next to the weather and Facebook.
iPhone or iPad
- Open forestcountylocal.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button, the square with the arrow pointing up. On an iPhone it's at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down a little and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. You'll get a little brown tree on your home screen.
Android
- Open forestcountylocal.com in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots up in the top right corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app if that's what it says.
- Tap Install or Add.
On the computer
In Chrome or Edge, there's a little install button at the right end of the address bar. Click it and the site gets its own window and its own spot on the taskbar or dock.
Any other browser, just bookmark it. Press Ctrl+D, or ⌘+D on a Mac.
Good to know
It's the same site, just quicker to get to. It still needs a signal to show what's going on right now, so up in the dead spots it'll show the last thing it loaded.
It doesn't send notifications and it doesn't track you. Nothing to sign up for.
